Fortifying allows users to earn Derp Dollars each epoch

💰 Earning Derp Dollars($Derp)

Each fortifier(a character fortifying an outpost) earns Derp Dollars each epoch. Each outpost can have up to 4 fortifiers. Once an outpost is fully fortified, it earns Derp Dollars every epoch.

Character Earning

The amount Derp Dolldars a character earns is based on the power score of the character. A character's power score is based on its rarity.

A character's power score and how much it earns each epoch from fortifying can be viewed within the Derp App.

Outpost Earning

Once an outpost is fully fortified it begins earning $derp. Each outpost starts at a base of 250 Derp Dollars(DD) per epoch and then has multipliers added based on faction and location.

📅 Epoch Cycles

A fortifier must fortify an outpost for a complete epoch to earn fortifying rewards. Similarly, an outpost must be fully fortified for a complete epoch to earn fortifying rewards.

Any changes made to the fortifiers for an outpost go into effect the following epoch. For example, if a fortifier is added to an outpost today, it will not start earning until the following epoch. Similarly, if a fortifier is removed from an outpost, it will still be associated with that outpost until the start of the next epoch.

This prevents fortifiers from suddenly leaving the outpost, causing the outpost holder to miss out on fortification rewards for that epoch. It also prevents outpost owners from suddenly removing fortifiers right before an epoch ends, causing the fortifiers to miss out on their rewards.

💸 Claiming Fortifying Rewards(Derp Dollars)

Users will receive fortification rewards within the Gold Rush app at the end of each epoch. Users must claim rewards during the following epoch, or the rewards are expired and unclaimable.

Claiming rewards is simple and requires users to log in and click the claim rewards button.

Claim Reminders

We've set up two reminders for claiming rewards:

1. in Derp Birds Discord that will ping event subscribers when an epoch ends

2. Automated, from the Gold Rush X account
