Drapes started as a joke but were then meme'd into existence by the Derp Birds community. They now play a pivotal role in the story and ecosystem of Derp Birds.

When the Preds invaded Derpetonia(the planet of the Legacy Birds), the Derp Apes stepped in to help by opening up portals all around Derpetonia, allowing the birds to escape to New Derpetonia, a planet identical to Derpetonia in every way.
